ABT RS3-R: if the Audi RS3 is not enough. Here is the 500hp version

ABT Sportsline, a well-known German tuner who works mainly on Audi and Volkswagen cars, has recently developed his own extreme version of the Audi RS3. The car, completely revised in appearance and mechanics, is called ABT RS3-R Sportback and is produced in a limited series of 200 pieces.

With the performance upgrade through ABT Power R processing, the adoption of the inevitable ABT Engine Control unit and the addition of an ABT intercooler, the RS3-R comes to deliver the beauty of 500 hp in total and also gains 100 Nm of torque, with the peak thus reaching 600 Nm.

The RS3-R, which also features a new exhaust system with ABT stainless steel tailpipes of 95 mm in diameter with a matte black finish, stands out on the 0-100 an impressive 3 “3 where the production model stops at 3 ”8.

ABT’s work was not limited to the powertrain. To ensure road holding in line with the renewed performance, the car has been equipped with 2 stabilizer bars which increase torsional stiffness and new sports suspension. In addition, as an option, it is possible to install a set of V3 suspensions in stainless steel fully adjustable in height (from -20 to -40 mm according to your preferences), compression and extension.

A particularly innovative feature of the RS3-R is the ability to increase the maximum speed, which is electronically limited as standard, to 300 km / h. You can set the value through the new one myABT app for Apple and Android devices. This option can be activated free of charge.

Furthermore, using the app, you can adapt the performance characteristics of the vehicle to your needs at any time: the selection goes from ECHO to SPORT to RACE. Users can also obtain information on their vehicle’s performance data, including, for example, the power currently used or the temperature of the coolant.

The ABT RS3-R also features modified aerodynamics. The car has a dedicated kit in visible carbon with a glossy finish. The package includes the front bumper with more pronounced whiskers, various mirror caps, side skirts and the rear spoiler.

Added to these are the glossy black fenders and forged wheels from 20 inches type ABT High Performance HR20 fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport R tires with size 245/30 R20.
