Mumbai: Members of Yuva Sena gheraoed the director (examinations and evaluations) in his office on Mumbai University’s Kalina campus on Thursday morning. The activists demanded postponement of final-year semester V exams scheduled to start in two weeks. They locked the office and are sitting on dharna for over an hour now. Final-year students have been seeking postponement of exams as the announcement came at a very short notice. Students of four colleges have also written to the controller. Many students gathered on the campus to meet the director.
In their letter, students have said that they have not been given adequate time and practice to grapple with physical exams, especially where long-form answers are expected. For two years, these students have been giving online exams with multiple-choice questions.
