The February 1st Samsung will officially launch the new Galaxy S23. In the meantime, numerous rumors have already circulated, including all the specifications of the basic and “Plus” variant as well as the design, which is based on an evolution based on previous models. From this point of view, in fact, there is no news worthy of note. In particular, the two models have a Infinity-O display 6.11″ and 6.6″ respectively with a small hole that houses the 12 MP front camera (both panels operate from 48 to 120 Hertz). Both panels – as well as support for HDR 10 – benefit from coverage in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2so they should be largely immune to scratches and bumps.
Processor side, here is the new one Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which should ensure a significant step forward in terms of performance. The RAM, like LDDR5, always amounts to 8, while the memory for the S23 will be 128 GB or 256 GB; 256GB or 512GB for the S23+.
Remaining in memory, this year no microSD slot (present, however, support for two physical NanoSIM cards and one eSIM). As for the cameras, the main sensor stands out, with an f/1.8 aperture, da 50MP. There will also be an ultra wide-angle camera from 12 megapixelsaperture f/2.2, focal length equivalent to 13 mm and field of view from 120° and one from 10 megapixels with zoom lens. In terms of video, it will be possible to record, with the main sensor, 8K movies up to 30 frames per second. In 4K mode, however, only the 60 frames per second mode will be active, regardless of whether you use the main or front camera.
As for autonomy, the S23 will have a 3,900mAh battery, while the S23+ will have a 4,700mAh battery. The base model will support fast charging at 25 Watts while the Plus one up to 45 Watts. There is also support for reverse wireless charging. On the sensor side, nothing is missing, starting with the fingerprint reader implemented below the screen.
Other specifications concern the audio, characterized by two stereo speakers with “Dolby Atmos” support (no 3.5mm headphone jack). The operating system is obviously Android 13 with the Samsung One UI 5.
Finally, no official news on prices, while the available colors will certainly be black, green, lavender and “cotton white”. In this regard, it is not known if further shades will be available.
