“The Court”, report the note“ascertained Rojadirecta’s full responsibilitỳ for having made available to the public in an unlawful and systematic manner all the sports rights acquired by Mediaset starting from 2010. Rojadirecta was sentenced to compensate Mediaset with the sum of € 529,579.50 plus € 24,786.00 for interest and legal fees“.
For Mediaset this is “another step forward for the defense of publishers’ contents from online piracy”, but two doubts remain: the first on the small figure, the second on whether Mediaset obtains the figure indicated by the Court. A Pyrrhic Victory?
