Mid-range smartphones made by Samsung are often regarded as great devices. To consolidate this idea, the Korean company is pushing hard on the new processor Exynos 1380. In particular, the new chip will benefit from a couple of small improvements thanks to the 5 nm EUV process with 4 Cortex-A78 and 4 Cortex-A55 cores. As for the GPU, however, theArm Mali-G68 MP5 will be present.

The real news, however, will lie in the new AI engine which will be able to manage a more advanced language recognition dedicated to voice assistants. Furthermore, these new capabilities will also be useful in image recognition since the processor will be able to identify and process photos and details. By the way, the Exynos 1380 will be able to support a camera up to 200MP as well as 4K video at 30fps. There will also be support to USF 3.1.

The new processor will likely appear on upcoming A-series devices. For example, next year the Galaxy A33 was launched with the Exynos 1280 on board, so it is conceivable that the upcoming Galaxy A34 can rely right on the latest Exynos 1380.

In this regard, however, some rumors have suggested the presence of a chip MediaTek (to be precise the Size MT6877V). Finally, other information on the Galaxy A34 provides for the presence of 6 GB of RAM and a storage space of 256 GB (expandable via microSD).

So, it would seem that Samsung is willing to focus on artificial intelligence even on its mid-range devices thanks to a processor that promises to be quite promising.
