More and more rumors are circulating about the new Galaxy S23 than Samsung is expected to launch in early 2023. In this case, it would seem that the South Korean company intends to anticipate its debut compared to what happened in the past. In fact, according to a report from South Korea, the new models could be presented during the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in the first week of February (which will take place in San Francisco). As for the sale, the devices would be placed on the market by February 17, 2023. The same report, among other things, highlights that the devices, in some markets, will be equipped with the processor Exynos 2300 while in others with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (both chipsets should be manufactured using a 4nm process).

Another interesting anticipation on the new Galaxy S23 concerns functionality “Light Mode”which has already debuted on the leaflet Galaxy Z Fold 4. This is an option that slightly reduces the chipset clock speed to ensure longer battery life.

According to Ice Universe, the drop in performance will not be “significant”but the power consumption will be significantly lower, resulting in longer battery life.

Furthermore, with regard to games this mode shouldn’t have much effect since this area will be managed directly by the app “Game Booster”. Therefore, considering also the results obtained by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of performance and energy efficiency, it can be assumed that the Galaxy S23 could return noteworthy results in terms of battery life and performance.
