Apart from this, this LIC policy will also give benefits in the event of death or disability due to accident.

In case of disability under LIC Aam Aamdi Bima Yojana, the policyholder will get Rs 37,500. In case of accidental death, the nominee will be able to get an insurance cover of Rs 75,000 under this policy.
The insurance plan has been made by combining two social schemes. These are Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana and Janashree Bima Yojana. This scheme was launched so that the poor section in the rural area could get its benefit. Under this scheme, the person earning in the house gets its coverage. The Central Government and the State Government together pay the premium of this scheme.

Under this plan of LIC, the policyholder gets many more facilities. Addons are also available on this policy. Under this addon, a maximum of two children studying in class 9th to 12th also get scholarship. It is based on the nodal agency model. The nodal agencies include Panchayats, NGOs and Self Help Groups. Nodal agencies can join this scheme by visiting the nearest Pension and Group Schemes office or any LIC office.

What is its eligibility and how much premium will have to be paid
Any person in the age group of 18 to 59 years can take advantage of LIC Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana. The premium for LIC Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana is Rs 200 per annum. Out of this, 50 percent i.e. 100 rupees will be given by the state government or union territory government. In this way, the policyholder will have to deposit a premium of only Rs 100 in a year.
