The maximum number of security personnel have been deployed in Doaba. Apart from this, all educational institutions in Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Gurdaspur have been closed as a precaution.

While government institutions are open in Amritsar, some private schools are also closed on Tuesday.
