In the database of Basemark a processor benchmark appeared AMD Ryzen 5 7600X belonging to the next generation of CPUs based on Zen 4. The results show a speed of11% higher than the current top of the range, the Ryzen 9 5950X which has over double the number of cores.
The well-known leaker TUM_APISAK found and shared the results of what would be a sample of the new Ryzen 5 7600X processor. The CPU would have been installed on a motherboard Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master (however already presented) together with 32 GB of RAM memory.

Based on the results obtained, the new processor offers up to11% more performance when compared to the Ryzen 9 5950X which owns well 16 cores architecture-based Zen 3. An interesting result, even if based on the performance obtained by the GPU which in this case is one NVIDIA RTX A4000.
According to what has emerged so far, the Ryzen 5 7600X should be a solution to 6 core equipped with 32 MB of third level cache and 6 MB of second level cachefor a total of 38 MB of combined cache thanks to InfinityCache. The difference between the current Ryzen 5 5600X and the 7600X lies, in fact, in the second level cache that was brought by 512 KB to 1 MB per core.
Frequencies have also seen a significant increase: where the current Ryzen 5 5600X achieves a base clock of 3.7 GHzthe new Ryzen 5 7600X would have a base clock of 4.4 GHz. This also bodes well for the boost frequencies which, purely theoretically, should easily exceed the 5 GHz.
Of course, this is information to be taken with due caution, as it is currently impossible to confirm or deny. However, if they were true, to be preliminary data relating to a sample not yet optimized they would represent a truly remarkable performance leap for AMD.
