Rocky Linux 9.0 now available

Rocky Linux 9.0 is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and, in fact, a identical clonewith the exception of the brands owned by Red Hat. therefore a continuation of the CentOS project, which aimed to offer perfect compatibility with RHEL.

Version 9.0 therefore offers the same features of RHEL 9.0, including the adoption of GNOME 40 for use on desktop computers, a Web-based administration console for servers, OpenSSL 3 and several new features regarding containers.

It should be noted that Rocky Linux 9.0 comes with a considerable delay compared to the release of RHEL 9.0: in fact two months have passed since then, while the “competition”, in this case AlmaLinux, released version 9.0 about a week after the launch of RHEL.
