Contrary to what one might think it is not true that Internet Explorer both dead and gone, because there is a trick to get back to using it on Windows 11 taking advantage of what appears to be a small oversight on Microsoft’s part. As reported on Twitter, in fact, just follow a short procedure to open the defunct and glorious browser that passed away (IT) about a month and a half ago. We will be easy prophets to imagine that the trick will not last longso it is better not to linger too long for those wishing to experience the thrill of a blast from the past.
If you try to open Internet Explorer on Windows 11 you are automatically taken to Edge, since last June 15 the countdown reached zero and the browser has officially become discontinued, with only Edge Ie Mode active, which uses the engine of IE11 to open obsolete sites and portals, at least until 2029. Yet, as told on Twitter by the developer XenoPanther, there is a very simple trick to resurrect IEhere is a demonstration image:

The procedure requires you to search for the Internet options from the Windows 11 search bar (magnifying glass icon) then choose the tab Programs and so Manage add-ons. From the new window you will have to click the link below that says Learn more about extensions and toolbars which opens Internet Explorer. Because? It could probably be some old code forgotten in the new operating system.
