At the Quail Lodge and Golf Club in Carmel-by-the-Sea, in Bonhams, California, on August 19th an unmissable event will be held: on the occasion of the charity auction, The Little Car Company obtained from Ferrari SpA the license to build a scale replica of the iconic and beloved Testa Rossa J, with some details commemorating the 1958 edition of Le Mans.

The Italian car manufacturer has approved the construction of 299 replicas of his Testa Rossa Jincluding that donated to charity, only under very strict conditions: they were provided to The Little Car Company the original drawings of the car and some parts, such as the wrought aluminum panels and the spokes of the 12-inch wheels they had to be strictly reproduced by handto pay homage to the design of the original 250 Testa Rossa and by extension to Italian craftsmanship.

The car donated to charity was finished in Matterhorn White with blue stripes as a “Pebble Beach Edition” to commemorate the original paint scheme and number found on the chassis of the “Lucybelle II” driven during the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans. by Pebble Beach resident Ed Hugus and Ray “Ernie” Erickson.

In addition to the smaller dimensions (the replica measures 25% less than the original) the version of The Little Car Company is equipped with a totally electric motor 48V and 12kW of power, making it the first zero-emission “Ferrari” in circulation.
