Every smartphone brings with it a number of problems directly proportional to the hype / buzz that is generated around it: the more famous and “talked about” it is, the easier it is to find all kinds of complaints online, just take a look at Reddit, Facebook and the like. One of these recently showed up on our Pixel 6 Pro, and it’s rather unique.

What is it about? Rounded corners of the Pixel 6 Pro, which at some point are no longer rounded. Just look at the cover photo, in particular the upper right corner, to understand what we are talking about, and to make it even more evident we leave you another shot just captured.

To remain consistent with what has just been written, we point out that there are traces of it on Reddit for a couple of months already, but we do not know that to date Google has recognized (or corrected) the problem in any way, even if in any case it seems that “the damage” is repaired under warranty (again based on reports from some Reddit users).

Without having suffered any blows, bumps or blows of any kind, the upper right corner of our Pixel 6 Pro at some point stopped being rounded. This rounding is usually of type softwareto follow the natural curvature of the screen, and it’s present on all four corners of the phone, but neither a reboot nor a couple of system updates have changed anything.

About the causes precise we groped in the dark: as far as we know it could very well also be something of a hardware nature, given the extreme heterogeneity of the reported cases, which can hardly be traced back to a specific version of Android. If it had happened to you too, at least now you will know that you are not alone, and if you wanted to share your experience with us in the comments we will be grateful to you.
