Lucid Motors is preparing to launch a new version of the Lucid Air electric sedan which will be unveiled on August 19 at The Quail event which is part of the Monterey Car Week. The first deliveries of this new model are expected in 2023.
The car manufacturer did not want to provide precise information on this new model. The manufacturer limited himself to sharing a teaser showing the traffic light that is on the circuits. For many, this teaser could be the clue that the multiple chat is on the way high performance version of Lucid Air.

We have talked about this sporty model several times in the past. According to old rumors it should be equipped with a powertrain with 3 electric motors. On paper, a car designed to compete directly with the Tesla Model S Plaid. This is, of course, only speculation as the automaker has not yet said anything about this model.
However, that this is an important presentation is evident from the fact that many of the top executives of Lucid Motors will be present. Fortunately, you won’t have to wait long to find out what the builder intends to present. This car, after the launch event, will also be present on August 21 at the Concept Car Lawn as part of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
On 19 August we will therefore discover this novelty from Lucid Motors. However, society needs, first of all, of rapidly increase production of its Lucid Air electric sedan. As we have seen recently, the manufacturer has once again cut its car’s 2022 production estimates. If at the beginning of the year it was aiming for 20,000 cars in 2022, the target has now fallen to 6-7,000 units. Indeed, just 1,405 cars were built in the first half of the year.
Lucid Motors therefore needs to quickly resolve all the issues that are slowing down the construction of its cars in order to meet the reservations of its customers, before launching new variants of its electric car.
