Soon launching a video game could be as simple as making one Google search, thanks to streaming services like Stadia, Amazon Luna, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Apparently the tests are already underway, even if as usual they are apparently a bit in the spot. As the animation in the tweet above shows, in theory it is enough to search for the title of a game supported by one of the services mentioned: a button for fast playback appears in the information box on the right, in a similar way to what happens with the shows and movies available on services such as Netflix or Disney Plus.
It looks like the Google search engine has a new update for cloud gaming platforms !!!

We did some quick tests and couldn’t bring up the same interface. As we said, it is extremely likely that for now the availability has been limited to a few accounts (and perhaps in a few parts of the world) just to evaluate the feedback from interested parties. The idea seems solid, however, and a natural evolution of a service that in fact already exists – only, it is extended to a new type of medium.
The choice to involve all the direct competitors of Stadia immediately is interesting. It is easy to assume that it is motivated by concerns on the Antitrust side – the Google Shopping case a few years ago had more or less similar premises. We are now waiting to understand when and if the functionality will be available on a broader level. Video game streaming is still a rather marginal phenomenon of the sector, but it is clear that the most popular search engine in the world has no intention of being caught unprepared.
