Between the extension of the bonus 200 euros and measures on welfare, work and pensions, the provision provides, with a package of measures worth 17 billion, various interventions in favor of families and businesses. Bonus € 200 extended
The 200 euro bonus, which INPS has made it known that it has already paid to the beneficiaries of citizenship income, to the holders of pension, accompanying pension, to the holders of disability allowance and social allowance, it will be extended to other categoriesfor a total of over 300 thousand more beneficiaries. It is about 40 thousand workers who did not receive it because covered by notional contributions from INPS, 50 thousand pensioners with effect from 1 July who were therefore not yet among the beneficiaries, 148 thousand sports collaborators severely affected by the pandemic and energy crises, and 56 thousand doctoral students and research fellows with active contracts registered in the separate management.
Corporate welfare
The provision provides that the maximum limit of company benefits is increased to 600 euros exempt from taxation that companies can provide to their employees. Such benefits may include, for example, reimbursement for gasoline or the payment of utility bills. So far, the ceiling was € 258.23.
Tax wedge and impact on workers
The text of the decree states that “for the pay periods from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2022, including the thirteenth or related accruals paid in the aforementioned pay periods, the exemption on the share of social security contributions for invalidity, old age and survivors dependent on the worker, is increased by 1.2 per cent“. This cut will cost the state 1.2 billion euros and according to the estimates of the Corriere della Sera it will translate into a monthly benefit ranging from 8.3 euros gross per month more for those who have a gross annual income of 9 thousand euros to 32.3 euros more gross for income of 35 thousand euros a year.
Pensions
The Aid bis decree also provides a revaluation of pensions designed to allow retirees to counter the effects of inflation for 2022. This is a 2 percent increase for incomes up to 35 thousand euros gross per year for the monthly payments of October, November and December 2022.
