But not just Samsung is active in this context. OmniVision has in fact just made his official official first 200 megapixel photo sensor. Its code name is OVB0A, it has a size of 1 / 1.395 inchsmaller than its predecessor, and pixels from 0.56 µm. The sensor will also be capable of shooting at 50 megapixels and supports the 10-bit standard.

The new photo sensor just unveiled it is not yet on the market. OmniVision plans to integrate it on the first mobile devices by the end of the year, we still don’t know which smartphone manufacturers will rely on it.
