The war between Russia and Ukraine, unfortunately we know by now, it also runs on the net: weapons are not silent, as well as hackers – on both sides – do not remain idle by continuing to look for the opponent’s weak points to steal data and create problems. And the action carried out – it is said – by Anonymous (a particularly active group to boycott the Kremlin) in collaboration with Ukrainian intelligence is precisely of the latter kind. The victim? Yandexthe Google of Russia.

The attack targeted in particular Yandex Taxi: hackers have hacked the official app and generated fake accounts through which they have booked a ride by directing the taxis all to the same starting point and at the same time. It is understandable that such a traffic jam has arisen in the area of Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow (where the historic building dating back to the USSR called – coincidentally – Hotel Ukraina is located) that it has been a long time before the situation in that area of the city returned. to normal.

The news was also reported by Forbes Russia, which reported:

On the morning of September 1, Yandex Taxi encountered an attempt by the attackers to interrupt the service: several dozen drivers received orders in the Fili region.

The claim was made by Anonymouswho claimed to have “hacked the application by sending dozens of cars to the same location, generating a traffic jam that lasted up to three hours“.
