Google’s Pixel Tablet took shape during latest official pictures shared by Google, in which we see a piece of the Pixel Tablet between the new Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch that will arrive shortly. In the last few hours, however, new details have leaked that enrich expectations.
The most interesting news are closely related to a new tablet model that we have never talked about. It would in fact be a Pixel Tablet Pro. Those references were leaked from the first Android 13 QPR beta that Google released for the Pixels. References to devices are also included within the code not launched yet on the market.
A high-end tablet would be identified by the code name “tangorpor“, different from the Pixel Tablet that we know best thanks to the leaks that emerged in recent weeks. This Tablet Pro should differentiate in terms of the sector photographic. So far we only know that the standard Pixel Tablet will feature a main photo sensor corresponding to the Sony IMX355the same sensor used in the Pixel 3 and Pixel 6a.
We clearly expect a quantity of More RAM, and perhaps a more updated processor than the first generation Tensor that is expected on the Pixel Tablet. Additionally, Pixel Tablet Pro may feature support for all compatible pens with the standard USES (Universal Stylus Initiative). This support should also be extended to Pixel Tablet.
Precisely regarding Pixel Tablet, further details have been leaked within the code of the QPR1 of Android 13. Specifically they are animations leaked which show how Pixel Tablet can be connected and disconnected from the dock, currently unknown. With great probability Pixel Tablet will be able to be used as a Nest Hub right when it’s connected to the dock, with the ability to control it with Assistant and access multimedia content.
Nearby Share will be Google’s preferred protocol for media sharing between Pixel Tablet and nearby devices.
Meanwhile, still no launch date has been defined for the Pixel Tablet, and not even the rumors that emerge on the net have tried to clarify this aspect. We assume that now Google is particularly focused on the development of the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch. After their launch event we can expect new details on the Pixel Tablet as well.
