Mercedes is working on the restyling of its GLA and a forklift of this new model was intercepted during a session of test on the Nurburgring track. The new spy photos allow you to notice that the car has only slight camouflage on the front and rear. These are the areas of the car where the German manufacturer will introduce the main design changes.
ONLY LITTLE TOUCHES
The aesthetic novelties, however, will not be many. The German manufacturer will make a series of tweaks to refresh the look of this model. From what can be seen from the new spy photos, there will be a slightly revised grille, some tweaks to the bumper, some changes to the shape of the headlights and new taillights.
As in most restyling, it is possible that Mercedes will also introduce new colors for the bodywork and alloy wheels with a new design. Not even a few should be missing refinements to the chassis and set-up to improve the driving dynamics of the car. There are no images of the interior but surely the German manufacturer will introduce the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system to allow access to the latest digital services offered on its new models. There will also be a new design for the center console. Neither should new materials and colors be missing for the interior upholstery.
On the safety side, the restyling should introduce the availability of all the latest ADAS systems from the German car manufacturer. As for the restyled GLA engines, no particular news should arrive. Therefore, it is very likely that the current units will be reconfirmed. So, we’ll still have the Plug-in variants and the sportier ones by AMG.
When will Mercedes present the restyling of the GLA? A precise date has not yet been communicated but there is talk of the debut on the market next year. Therefore, all that remains is to wait for further news on the development of this new model of the German brand.
