Opel wants to celebrate 40 years of the Corsa with the launch of a special limited edition model called Opel Corsa 40 Anniversary. The automaker has decided to make it for the European market only 1,982 specimens of this car. The number was not chosen at random as it is a reference to the year of the debut of this car. 200 copies are destined for the Italian market. It should be noted that the Opel Corsa 40 Anniversary it can only be purchased online.
This car can be requested either with the 130 HP 1.2 turbo engine combined with an 8-speed gearbox or with the 100% electric powertrain of the Race-e. It should be noted that Opel will begin taking orders for its electric Opel Corsa 40 Anniversary from 14 September. Recall that the electric motor has 136 HP and is powered by a 50 kWh battery for a range of up to 353 km.
Speaking of the characteristics of this limited series, the manufacturer has decided to offer the car in Rekord Red only, which closely resembles the red used on the original Opel Corsa. We then have a contrasting black roof. The car is offered with 17-inch high-gloss black light alloy wheels with matt gray inserts.
In the passenger compartment, on the other hand, the seats covered in tartan fabric stand out. Speaking of the standard equipment, Opel highlights that we will find, among other things, the multimedia system with supports for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the LED headlights and driver assistance systems such as the accident alert with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection. Each Opel Corsa 40 Anniversary will have its own label numbered from 0001 to 1982, located on the black finish of the dashboard on the passenger side. As for the prices, the model with petrol engine starts at 23,600 euros. Instead, 39,000 euros will be needed for the variant with electric powertrain.
