During the recent 3+ hour presentation held at D23 Expo 2022at the Anaheim Convention Center, Disney has provided new details, preview images and unpublished movies on many titles coming to theaters and on Disney +.
Let’s talk about Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios and 20th Century Studios content, scheduled to debut in the coming months.

Alan Bergman, chairman The Walt Disney Studios, welcomed the audience starting with a reflection on the 13-year history of D23 Expo and focused on the evolution of the Studios together with partners since the times when the group was formed only by Disney Animation, Disney Live Action and Pixar, up to the acquisition of Marvel and the subsequent acquisition of Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios.

Along with Bergman, were also executives Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm; Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, and in connection with none other than James Cameron, director of Avatar: The Way of Water by 20th Century Studios. Andor will explore a new perspective of the galaxy of Star Wars, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey that will lead him to discover how he can make a difference. The series will tell the story of the nascent rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets got involved. It is an age full of dangers, deceptions and intrigues in which Cassian will embark on the path destined to transform him into a rebellious hero.

WILLOW

Kennedy introduced none other than Warwick Davis (Willow Ufgood) to talk about the upcoming production on Disney + before being joined by series stars Joanne Whalley (Sorsha), Ruby Cruz (Kit), Erin Kellyman (Jade), Ellie Bamber (Dove) , Dempsey Bryk (Airk), Amar Chadha-Patel (Boorman) and Tony Revolori (Graydon).

To the delight of fans who were surprised, Christian Slater was also welcomed onto the stage as a cast member. Again he was shared a new trailer!

Set in a magical world where brownies, sorcerers, trolls and other mystical creatures thrive, Willow is the story of an unlikely group of heroes who set out on a dangerous mission, facing their inner demons and teaming up to save their world. An epic fantasy in costume told with a modern sensibility and full of humor, emotions, energy and vivacity.

Willow will debut on Disney + on November 30thwe leave you at the trailer shown during D23.

STAR WARS: TALES OF THE JEDI

The new production will consist of six previously unreleased animated shorts set in the era of the prequel trilogy.

A journey into the lives of two distinctly different Jedi, Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, who will be tested as they make choices that will define their destinies.

Dave Filoni took advantage of the opportunity to share teaofficial railer of the series and announce that all six shorts will debut October 26 on Disney +. The series is created by executive producer Dave Filoni, with Carrie Beck and Athena Portillo serving as executive producers.

THE MANDALORIAN
