There is now less than a month to go before the Surface event, announced by Microsoft for October 12, and a rather large line-up of devices is expected. Zack Bowden of Windows Central has shared in the past few hours the codenames of a good number of upcoming products, and even if it is not 100% sure that they will all appear during the event, we can still expect them within the next few months. Below are names, codes and a few brief notes on what we know about each one so far.
- Surface Pro 9: Zaca. The new model should continue without any particular surprises the 2-in-1 form factor that has made the fortune of the entire Surface range. - Surface Pro 9 5G: Arcata. Aesthetically, there shouldn’t be big differences compared to the Surface Pro 9 with Wi-Fi connectivity only, but it would be the first time that new generation cellular networks arrive on a Microsoft computer. ARM processor, we said, included in the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 SoC developed once again in collaboration between Qualcomm and Microsoft.
