Samsung releases a new beta of Android 13 for Galaxy S22, but the stable one?

After announcing the launch of the beta program, Samsung is pursuing the development of One UI 5 with Android 13 with the release of the third buildalways of beta programfor the S22 series (here our review of the Galaxy S22 +) in some regions of the world.

The update brings a novelty seriesincluding the support of themed icons for more apps, but with the release of the stable Android 13 from OnePlusthe expectations of users to Android manufacturer that guarantees the best software support they are very tall, and everyone wants there stable. With the new beta, Samsung expands support for themed iconsnot just relegated to its apps proprietary. At this point, however, yes clash with Googlewhose apps actually they don’t support themes as not yet updated to provide the monochrome appsnecessary for the implementation of themed icons.

But how then do these apps follow the system theme in the Pixel? As noted by the known Mishaal Rahmanin Pixels the apps can change according to the theme thanks to a flag Launcher3 which forces the Pixel Launcher to use integrated monochrome icons if the app doesn’t provide one.

Obviously on Samsung there is no Pixel Launcherand therefore you will not be able to have the Google icons themed, even if the update is expected to arrive before the launch of the One UI 5 stable.

As regards the other news of the third beta of One UI 5, Samsung claims to have made improvements at animationsa new functionality to create photo albums customized in style presentation for the app Gallery and a number of bug fixes.
