As anticipated by Naughty Dog’s Twitter profile, HBO released the first official teaser trailer of its next adaptation for the TV series of The Last of Us which will see actor Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) in the role of Joel, alongside Bella Ramsey (game of Thrones) who will play the role of Ellie.
We have known for some time that like the Naughty Dog franchise, The Last of Us of HBO will tell the story of the two aforementioned characters, who live in a world devastated by the outbreak of a deadly fungus capable of turning infected people into horrible monsters. Of course the first season will be introductory and this first teaser of The Last of Us it does not want to show too much, but rather to shed some light on the relationship between the two characters, who will move within an increasingly devastated and chaotic world.
Based only on the few elements revealed by the short video, it seems immediately that the series of The Last of Us can keep at least in part the nerve-wracking aspect to which the games have accustomed us, perhaps differing in the atmosphere from the typical zombie productions, but in truth it is too early to give a judgment and we can only talk about sensations. The disturbing aspect that the production wanted to instill certainly emerges, so we can only be impatient to see the new HBO series. Unfortunately we will have to wait a little longer, in fact, its debut is expected sometime in 2023. We just have to pass the wait by enjoying the first teaser, enjoy!
