Google Wallet is a very useful application that allows both to manage payments through smartphone (operation as soon as possible using Google Pay) that to manage the various loyalty cards or tickets for public transport and airplanes (we talked about it here): like all apps that save payment cards or other important data internally, Google Wallet is also very security conscious.

Obviously, it is not possible to use Wallet even on smartphones with root permissionsas is already the case with banking apps.
However, it seems that the app has some problems recognizing these situations, given that on Reddit some users have noticed that Google Wallet (and all the features connected to it, such as payment via NFC) it no longer works and shows the message “Your device doesn’t meet security requirements”that is the message that appears just when, for example, the smartphone has root permissions.
Users who have noticed this problem confirm that have “normal” smartphones, therefore without root permissions, without beta versions of the software and without unlocked bootloaderbut indeed with the latest security updates installed.
It is not clear what the reason for this bug is: second AndroidPolicethe problem may be caused by the API Play Integrityused precisely to understand if a smartphone is “safe”, and therefore we must wait for Google to update its application to fix everything.
For the moment, a temporary solution is to clear the Play Store cache: to do this, just go to the Play Store app settings and select the button to clear the cache. We remind you that this operation is safe and does not delete important app data.
