After about a decade from launch on Android And iOS, the Steam mobile application has been completely updated. The new version not only radically changes the interface, but adds numerous features previously absent compared to the desktop one, and one better integration with Steam Deck.

The previous version showed an “old school” interface that it basically emulated the PC experience. However, the inevitably smaller screen and the absence of a good portion of the features compared to the desktop counterpart made the mobile alternative unattractive and effective.
Everything changes with the new application that finally allows you to have a page containing the entire library of games, but not only. Now it is possible remotely manage downloads on both PC and Steam Deck. In addition, it can be accessed screenshot, guides, news and all the community activities for every single game in a much easier way.
Through the new application it also changes Steam Guard and access to your account thanks to the QR scanner. From now on, to access from a platform other than your personal one, it will no longer be necessary to enter your name, password and verification code. Just scan the QR code displayed on the screen directly from your smartphone or tablet. In addition, if we forget to log out, the connected devices submenu will allow you to proceed remotely.
The entire browsing experience also changes, now more immediate and suitable for the small screen. It will be easier to search and purchase products in Valve’s catalog, find news, trade or share titles with family members.
Finally, Valve has already made it known that the app will not be neglected, but there are already numerous features in the testing phase that will be implemented in the near future. The application is already available for all users who can download it from their respective stores.
