iPad Pro is around the corner: is convinced by Mark Gurman, who with his newsletter on Bloomberg takes stock of the situation revealing very interesting details. Starting with the Apple tablet, which will be proposed in the 11 and 12.9 inch cuts (J617 and J620) both with M2 processor which will guarantee a performance increase of 20% compared to the current generation.
Aesthetically, however, we do not expect variations, the design will in fact reproduce faithfully what we saw last year on the iPad Pro with M1. A choice, says Gurman, in line with the other iPads on the market and the iPhones of recent years – series 14 included. It probably won’t arrive right away, but Apple is also preparing to launch an unreleased track 10th generation “entry-level” iPad with USB-C port similar in design to iPad Pro. A third retailer has anticipated it by showing its Magnetic Keyboard Case: this could be the confirmation of its arrival already this month.
What’s coming soon is the expected iPadOS 16, which is delayed (scheduled) compared to iOS 16 which will presumably be released in the week of October 24. As Gurman explains, it’s a more than likely window of time given that the company’s fiscal results will be unveiled on October 27thand usually new products / services / software are always announced prior to the publication of quarterly data.

iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura hide inside confirmations about upcoming MacBook Pro introducing support: a clear sign of the imminent debut of laptops equipped with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, although we shouldn’t expect them together with the iPad Pro. November it could be the right month, then.

Other news in the pipeline are one unedited version of Mac mini with M2 – the last update dates back to two years ago – and one Apple TV with A14 chip and 4GB of memory (currently the model for sale is equipped with A12 chip with 3GB of memory). There is also talk of a Apple TV with smart speaker and Face Time camera.
Let’s take a step back and go back to talking about iPad: Mark Gurman reveals that Apple would have decided to follow the path taken by Google with its (not yet announced) Pixel tablet, capable of transforming itself into a hub and smart display once connected to a base. Well, the Cupertino company would have the same thing in mind: this way iPad could become the center of the connected home, from which you can not only listen to music or view photos, but also manage the lights, control the doors, turn the heating up or down and so on. These innovations could arrive as early as 2023: it is not yet known whether it will be a dock or an external device for connecting the iPad with the speakers.
