A year ago in December Oppo unveiled its first “standard” folding, the Find N. We had the opportunity to try it for some time (find our impressions here), but the smartphone never arrived in our country. However, we are close to the halfway point, at the time when Find N turns one year and it is expected that for that moment the company has the successor ready. However, we should speak in the plural: there should be two leaflets this year.
In fact, it is a common idea that Oppo presents two leaflets in the wake of Samsung, the current leader in the sector. In Dongguan as in Seoul it is said that they will propose a folding book and a clamshell with rather intuitive names: Oppo Find N Fold and Oppo Find N Flip, respectively. The well-known informant Digital Chat Station has focused on the latter in the past few hours, which he entrusted to his Weibo profile latest information collected by the supply chain.

Oppo Find N Flip should have a display principal almost identical in size to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with which the comparison is spontaneous, a flexible 6.8-inch OLED with Full HD + resolution. The other specifications cited by the Chinese informant, however, compared to those of the industry leader are of a higher level: Find N Flip would in fact have a external “service” displayagain OLED, almost twice as big, 3.26 inches, and the same can be said about the resolution of the camerasfrom the 32 MP Sony IMX709 sensor for selfies and the other two Sony on the back, a 50 MP IMX766 as the main one and an 8 MP IMX355 probably as an ultra wide-angle camera.
Better than the Samsung, even the battery capacity: If there is a 3,700 mAh one on the Z Flip 4, the Find N Flip should house a 4,300 mAh one. For this round of indiscretions, the specifications end here, notwithstanding there is still a lot in the shade: we do not know for example, and it would be interesting to know, if the selfie camera will be inserted into a hole in the display or drowned in it, or which chip will be used. In the past there has been talk of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, but since the debut seems close but not around the corner it is possible that Oppo has had time to base the project on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which Qualcomm is expected to present shortly.
