Pixel 7 and 7 Pro were presented just a few days ago and there is already talk of a new model arriving. In this case we are not talking about the next top-of-the-range Pixel 8 series, but rather about the mid-range “a” smartphone which Google usually announces between the spring and summer of each year – at least, so it was with the Pixel 4a (August), 5a (again August) and 6a (May, image above). Logically, therefore, we could expect the Pixel 7a between May and August 2023.

Yet it seems that something is moving ahead: is it possible that Google has decided to tighten the times and bring the new mid-range to the market earlier than expected? Looking at the pages of Amazon it would seem so: the e-commerce portal apparently provides for the possibility (in some markets) to activate notifications on the launch of the Pixel 7a, rather, of the Google Pixel 7a family.

The last generations compared.

It is unlikely that this is an error – never rule it out a priori, however – but it is somewhat strange that notifications can be activated for the debut of a smartphone that still appears so far from being released on the market. Unless, of course, Google has other plans in mind. It should also be noted that subscribing to the list also provides for the receipt of notifications on the Pixel Watch. Be it a confirmation of the arrival of the Wear OS smartwatch on other markets coinciding with the debut of Pixel 7a?

Waiting for more news about it, we remind you that the only known detail of Pixel 7a is its code name: felix.
