The complexity of business environments is constantly growing, particularly as more and more companies manage not only hybrid environments, but also with multiple cloud service providers at the same time, in what is known as “multicloud”. NetApp took advantage of the conference NetApp Insight to announce BlueXPa unified control panel that allows you to centrally control corporate hybrid multicloud environments, thus meeting the needs of companies in this scenario.

NetApp BlueXP simplifies data management in hybrid multicloud environments

One of the main problems that companies face in addressing the transition to hybrid multicloud environments, i.e. where infrastructures coexist on premise and on multiple cloud providers, that of management: The lack of a way to centrally and harmonize IT environments leads to slowdowns and inefficiencies.

NetApp BlueXP simplifies this scenario by bringing data control under a single panel that allows you to have one better overview and to manage the data wherever they are. BlueXP allows you to control local storage on NetApp AFF, FAS, StorageGRID and E-Series, as well as cloud storage with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Azure NetApp Files, Google Cloud Volumes Service and Cloud Volumes ONTAP from a single console.

BlueXP provides tools that take advantage ofIA to monitor the health of the infrastructure and offer both alerts in case of problems and automation to reduce the workload of IT staff.

Having one view of the entire infrastructure from a single panel then it allows to improve the cyber resilience of the company, thanks also to the model zero trust integrated and a dashboard dedicated to ransomware, as well as to monitor compliance with corporate and national regulations.

BlueXP, which NetApp claims is the method of choice for managing ONTAP, provided as free service to all NetApp customers, and provides a digital wallet with which you can pay for the various pay-as-you-go services in the NetApp portfolio.

NetApp also announced several tools to keep tabs on corporate issues. BlueXP includes a dashboard to obtain information on consumption, while Cloud Insights Dashboard provides an overview of resource consumption both in the cloud and on premise. In general, the company provides new tools to check consumption and, therefore, to allow better exploitation of resources.
