SIM change and portability: new rules! You will need the holder in person for the change

The new rules governing the change of SIM and therefore also the change of operator with its portability and consequently also the replacement of the physical SIM. In this case there are two fundamental innovations that allow you to make the whole procedure a little safer but also more ” chatted ” by users.

The reason soon said given that the SIM change can only be made only by the holder of the SIM. The SIM change will therefore be more difficult to carry out because, as mentioned, it will be done exclusively by the holder of the SIM who must also be physically present at the time of the request in the store. And precisely because of this, some have already begun protests or even the recourse by some operators given that in Italy at the moment there are really too many SIMs that are used by elderly people or by children who are actually registered in the name of other people.

• The SIM change which may be required for theft, loss, switch to eSIM or portability to another operator may be request ONLY BY THE HOLDER
• The proxies may be worth ONLY for SIM change of company user
• The SIM change due to theft, loss or malfunction may be required ONLY to your operator

How will the SIM change work?

The insiders for the SIM change will have to identify the person requesting the SIM change, both in the case of a virtual (internet) and physical (shop) request. In this case there will be an obligation to make copies of the identity documentof the fiscal Code but also of the old SIM (physically) and in case the relative one had been stolen or lost complaint.

A decidedly right solution which tries to block any kind of malicious procedure against unsuspecting users of cloning their own SIM in the bud. In this case, however, it seems that the operators are not in agreement with the procedure, we go back to somewhat cumbersome procedures and this does not facilitate the user to carry out the operator change as was the case up to now.
