OPPO’s Enco Air series is one of the most loved by users, given their good value for money and their smart and intuitive use. The Chinese giant has therefore further expanded its range with the new buds OPPO Enco Air2 Pro. These true wireless headphones maintain a affordable pricea minimal and elegant design and a more than good quality for the price range in which the product is positioned.
The well-constructed holding case and the magnet closure stays tight and easy to open and close, without accidentally opening it. Compared to Enco Air2 standard, the Pro version improves active noise cancellation (ANC) and designwhich like every Pro version becomes in earwith silicone tips adaptable to any type of ear.
Design and packaging
The package contains the headphones already inside the special oval-shaped case, which is easily charged via the USB-C port. The USB-USB-C cable is already included. The handy, medium-sized pencil case: 66.84 x 51.45 x 25.04mm and weighs only 41.8 grams. The earphones are also very light, weighing in at 4.3 grams each.
Using these headphones for the simplest daily actions, up to the most “extreme” ones such as during training sessions, the buds have maintained excellent stability and ergonomics. Unfortunately, Enco Air2 Pro are certified IP54, therefore resistant only to splashes and dust. I happened to use the Enco Air2 Pro during a jogging session in the autumn rain, but I didn’t encounter any particular problems.
Functionality and daily use
The features and customizations offered by these true wireless headphones are many. In detail the user can decide the gestures to use and customize them on the right or left earphone. For example, below I show you my gestures, which can be customized through the settings of your smartphone.
The user has three types of gestures to perform on the stem: one tap, two taps, three taps and tap and hold. Based on these three gestures, you can associate a function such as pause / play, change songs forward or backward, turn the volume up and down, activate the voice assistant or game mode.
OPPO Enco Air2 Pro greatly improves noise cancellation, should you decide to activate it. When using the camera app with the buds connected to your smartphone, simply double-tap the stem of one of the two earphones to take a photo. OPPO Enco Air 2Pro supports Bluetooth version 5.2 with a range of about 10 meters and adopts a frequency response from 20 – 20KHz. Obviously OPPO’s buds are compatible for both Android and iOS devices.
Sound quality
OPPO Enco Air2 Pro mounts a diaphragm driver from 12.4mm coated titanium that delivers deep bass and immersive, balanced sound. All in all the audio quality of these TWS headphones is very good (better with the activation of the AAC), both in the lows and in the mediums and highs, always referring to the relevant price range.
L’ANC filters out most of the unnecessary noise in the background, gaining full promotion when listening to music or during a call in noisy environments such as traffic and various hums. On the contrary, it is also very interesting and functional Transparency modewhich leaves the possibility of hearing external noises in case you don’t want to completely isolate yourself from the outside world.
Battery
The strong point of these Enco Air2 Pros is their autonomy and recharging speed. The headphones are equipped with a battery of 43mAh which allow an autonomy of approx 5 hours with ANC and about 7 hours without active noise cancellation.
Approximately 10 minutes of charging in the case is enough to guarantee another 2 hours of audio playback. As far as the case is concerned, the battery is a unit of 440mAhand its battery level easily recognizable since LEDs located in the center: green (maximum charge), yellow (medium charge) and red (discharged).
