The youtuber and well-known video game streamer, Cicciogamer89born Mirko Alessandrini, was reported by the Guardia di Finanza to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rome for omitted declaration of income and VAT. According to the agency HANDLE and a press release from the GdF in which, however, the name of the Italian streamer is not directly mentioned.

According to what was reconstructed by the Fiamme Gialle of the 1st Metropolitan Operative Nucleus of Rome, Alessandrini and the company attributable to him allegedly failed to submit the annual return for direct taxes and VAT despite having “received, through wire transfers from abroad, the deriving both from the simple display of the advertising strip (the so-called “banner impression”), conveyed on the YouTube channel, and from the opening of the advertised page (the “click-through banner”).

In the last 5 years Cicciogamer8 would have “forgotten” to declare over 1 million euros in fees to the tax authorities. The analysis of the partnership contracts stipulated with Google Ireland and with some sponsorship agencies would have allowed the GdF to ascertain failure to pay direct taxes of over 400,000 euros and VAT of around 160,000 euros.

Questioned by Fanpagesthe Guardia di Finanza explained that “the ball passes to the Revenue Agency. Being a declaratory crime, we know that where the tax payer complies with the tax claim, including the penalties, the penal aspect ceases to exist. The subject in question began to comply with the declaratory obligations after our intervention and started making payments but it will take some time”.
