The builder made a specific body kit which is characterized by elements such as the new dedicated sports front bumper, the side skirts and the rear diffuser. The full LED headlights with the new Abarth signature and the rear spoiler also stand out. The exclusive Scorpionissima version can also count on the new 18-inch Titanium Gray diamond-finished alloy wheels.

Abarth didn’t limit itself to giving the electric 500 a more gritty look. In fact, the brand has also worked to improve driving dynamics by creating a dedicated setup that includes a 60 mm wider track and a 24 mm longer wheelbase. At the front we find a McPherson layout with telescopic shock absorber, while at the rear a torsion beam with telescopic shock absorber. The braking system has also been improved. Weight distribution is 53% front and 47% rear.

Speaking of the powertrain, the horsepower of the electric motor reaches 114 kW – 155 HP with 235 Nm of maximum torque. Abarth highlights the acceleration and recovery presentations of its new electric sports car by comparing them with those of the Abarth 695 model.

The Abarth 500e is 1 second faster in urban recovery, which means 50% faster acceleration from 20 to 40 km/h than its petrol rival. The New Abarth 500e is also faster outside city driving, for example on hairpin bends, where from 40 to 60 km/h it can reach the desired speed in just 1.5 seconds – much faster than the petrol version, which remains back 15 metres, reaching 60 km/h one second later. Finally, on the open road, the New Abarth 500e full electric performs overtaking maneuvers faster than its petrol version, reaching a speed of 100 km/h (starting from 60 km/h) when its counterpart is still traveling at 91 km /h, with a difference of about 1 second.

According to Abarth, the new electric vehicle beats the 695 by over a second on the Balocco “Misto Alfa Handling Track”. Are available three driving modes: Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track. The electric motor is powered by a 42 kWh battery. The manufacturer does not officially mention the range when speaking of its new car, but a mileage of 250 km can be read in the notes on the Abarth website.
