The new Coolwalk interface has finally landed on Android Auto (here are the best apps to install), and while sadly not all affected users were able to participate in the beta program, hopefully there will be a general release.
There was one problem though. Despite the new Android Auto is much more modern and functional, le settings (accessible by phone) were remained the same before. Until today, because the channel TelegramGoogle News has in fact identified some new settings in the version 8.5 of the app.

Actually in that version there were only some directions not working that Google was updating the interface, and only with the version 8.6 from Android Auto Beta the new design has become fully functional. The redesign finally brings the design Material You and a number of new features:

As for the distribution, the new settings they don’t seem available for all users. It is currently unclear whether Google News enabled the new ones settings from line of code after decompiling the app or if simply the new interface has not yet been released for all users participating in the beta of Android Auto.
