Google is planning to expand the Pixel 7 series: In addition to the base model and the Pro model, the company would be in the process of launching as well Pixels 7to. Pixel 7a will therefore be quite similar to its predecessor Pixel 6aas regards the design: the smartphone will have a flat screen with uniform edges (with the exception of the “chin”, which will instead be more pronounced than on the other sides), the front camera will be positioned in a central hole and the now iconic Pixel “bar” will find space on the back.
There g of Google will be centrally located, while the power button and volume rocker will both be located on the right edge of the device.
As for the size, Pixel 7a will be 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0mm large (10.1 mm if we consider the rear bar): these are decidedly similar to those of the Pixel 6a, therefore the screen should be the same size or slightly larger than the Pixel 6a panel.
On the lower edge, the USB C port will find space, but unfortunately there will be no audio jack as suggested by some rumors. As far as the hardware is concerned, we are not yet certain: the Pixel 7a should mount a panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a fingerprint sensor placed under the display, while for the cameras we are talking about 64MP IMX787 and 13MP IMX712 sensors. The processor should be the Tensor G2 chip, the same as the Pixel 7 series.
We just have to wait a few more months to find out more: remember that Pixel 6a was launched in July of last year, so we expect that Google can do the same with Pixel 7a.
