The official presentation of the next top of the range of the Xiaomi 13 series is just a few days away and in the meantime many details continue to emerge regarding the smartphones of the Chinese company, starting with a series of live photos and renders that portray them in advance of the event ofthe 1st of December.

Over the last few hours, in fact, several photos of the have emerged from Weibo Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, thanks to which we can take a closer look at what will be the main aesthetic characteristics of the two smartphones. On both we find the adoption of a new square photo module, with the difference that the basic version takes up the color of the body, while on the Pro model we find a black block that hides some of the photographic sensors. Below you can see a gallery with several shots from various angles and a render of Xiaomi 13 Pro.

The differences between the two variants also reside in the design lines underlying the smartphones, since Xiaomi 13 ylearned squared and sharper edges, which is accompanied by a completely flat front panel. Different speech for Xiaomi 13 prosthe latter instead much more in line with the company’s previous smartphones, given the presence of curved edges for the display and a frame that does not use particularly flat edges and corners, since the back is also curved.

Differences also with regard to materials, given that Xiaomi 13 Pro should adopt a vegetable leather back, able to offer a tactile sensation very similar to real leather, while Xiaomi 13 seems to equip a classic glass back. Where there are no differences, however, it seems to be in the certification sector, since – we recall – the whole range should be classified IP68.

THE NEWS OF THE TECHNICAL SHEET AND THE SOFTWARE

In addition to photos and renderings, some slides have emerged in the last few hours that depict some of the novelties of the technical data sheet that we will find on the new Xiaomi 13, starting with the presence of much faster internal memories. In fact, we are talking about UFS 4.0able to reach up to 3.5GB/s of reading speed, to which memories are added LPDDR5X RAM they offer 33% higher performance compared to the last generation.

Also pay attention to the battery issuegiven that MIUI 14 – based on Android 13 – will introduce various optimizations that should allow for greater autonomy without having to excessively increase battery capacity and charging speeds (67W on the base and 120W on the Pro). Indeed, according to what emerged Xiaomi is aiming to change the perspective with which it approaches the mobile worldshifting the focus away from carrying the best parameters to provide the best experience. This means, in the case of the battery, being able to reach more hours of use without having to resort to the best capacity that can be included in the data sheet.

The same also applies to other aspects, since MIUI 14 should drastically reduce the number of pre-installed applicationsintroduce more useful and practical functions, more fluidity and stability, and bring with it new design lines. Xiaomi calls this process Razor Plan, going to recall the figure of the razor that cuts and thins out the current software, with the aim of reduce complexityà and create a simple and clean system that aims to consume as few resources as possible and ensure stability.

Surely this is it one of the most interesting aspects on which the company could focus, since the race for the technical sheet has now lost all meaning and the real battle is played out on quality software. We’ll see if Xiaomi will be successful in doing so.
