From the event that should have been held in China on Thursday 1 December and that Xiaomi has postponed (or had to postpone) to a later date, it seems that even two would have come out new projects escaped the rumors. In the previous weeks, in fact, the attention had been catalyzed by the Xiaomi 13 series, there was no mention of the new adventure that the company seems to want to undertake.

Once the event has faded, pending the new date, it is possible that the company in an attempt to keep the attention high and not leave the fans completely idle has voluntarily released something. Xiaomi would be about to try its hand at the desktop computer segment – it already exists in the laptop segment, see the Book Air 13 for example – with two products: a Mac Mini-style mini PC and an SFF computerSmall Form Factor. On the first details abound:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 6800H APUs
  • Radeon 680M RDNA 2 iGPU
  • 16GB of RAM memory
  • 512GB SSD of storage
  • price: 3,999 yuan, around 545 euros at current exchange rates.

On the second instead, the SFF, we have much less details. The only clear technical aspect of the finished material on the net is the 100 watt power supply: few for a desktop with a dedicated GPU, but moreover it could be offered in more than one technical configuration.

From the images it looks like a machine with a Mini-ITX motherboard, but there are several aspects that will be clarified during the presentation, such as the reference to the Win+M key combination (Windows + MIUI), or a reference to compactness, given that the reduce the windows to icons?) of the cardboard in the photo.
