ubisoft announced the arrival on Steam (from 26 January 2023) from Watch Dogs Legion, the latest chapter in hacker-themed free-roaming. The game expands the line-up that marks the return of Ubisoft on the Valve platform, after about two years of absence in which theEpic Games Store And Ubisoft Connect.
At the end of November, Ubisoft had confirmed its return to Steam: on December 6th it was the turn of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but the Valve store will also open its doors to Year 1800, Roller Champions And Immortals Fenyx Rising. With Watch Dogs Legion, the count of post-2019 Ubisoft games available on Steam therefore rises to five.

Watch Dogs Legion, however, represents the most controversial chapter of the saga, in fact the reception already two years ago was not exactly enthusiastic. The optimization wasn’t top notch and the content was rather limited. It almost looks like a Watch Dogs 2 update that adds the presence of a large variety of procedurally generated protagonistsbut almost never characterized and without a plot capable of supporting them properly.
In short, Watch Dogs Legion is one of those great titles untapped potential, expanded with the support received, but overall below expectations. All that remains is to see how the Steam public will welcome the title and if this launch will represent a ransom for a title that did not excite.
