Football comes to Call of Duty

On Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 comes football and the inspiration is undoubtedly that of Rocket League. The battle royale version of the Activision title inaugurates the Warzone Cup with players who can challenge each other in 3 vs 3 matches with giant balls to be pushed into the net by driving quad bikes on a green lawn. The free update Season 01 Reloaded released in the past few hours also brings other news concerning the major title Modern Warfare II with the long-awaited raids.

Just like in Rocket Leagueon Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 you can have fun in a soccer match where you don’t use your feet to kick but the same quads that are around the map. The challenges are open to two teams of three operators each and the location is that of the Al Easima field, the pitch of the Al Mazrah team. Of course the matches will all be based on contacts, ramming and the use of special items such as the so-called shock sticks that can block opponents. The match ends when one team scores five goals or when five minutes have passed. Despite on paper a game like call of Duty and the world of football may seem very distant worlds, there are numerous points of contact such as for example with operators inspired by champions such as Neymar or, more recently, Messi.

Among other innovations introduced on call of Duty there is also the first team raid (in the Atomgrad map) which will reward those who complete it with new operators and weapons. The formula is the mixed one between fights and puzzles to be solved with tasks to be unlocked to organize a raid with your character. The assignments can be obtained with one of the three game modes available, so it is good to choose the one in which you are most comfortable, for example by placing yourself in the top 20 in the battle royale or by completing a specific daily challenge in the multiplayer.
