A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to try two new Vivo smartphones that will not arrive in Europe: let’s talk about Vivo X Fold+ and iQOO 10 Pro. As the name suggests, Vivo X Fold+ is a foldable device, a direct evolution of the previous Vivo X Fold that we tested in July: it looks a lot like its predecessor, compared to which it stands out for the new chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen1improved autonomy, 80W charging and new camera system, always in collaboration with ZEISS.
X Fold+ is a really solid foldable, with an interesting hinge technology developed by Vivo, which “supports” the display when the smartphone is open and prevents creases or marks from forming in the center of the panel. Considering that the device will not arrive in Europe, we obviously tested it with the software intended for the Chinese market: we will therefore not dwell much on the software side, but it is necessary to mention a very large amount of camera options and optimizations and the inevitable tricks for multitasking (as you can see in the video).
iQOO 10 Pro, on the other hand, is a smartphone entirely performance and gaming oriented: the specifications are top of the class, among which Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 stand out, 12GB LPDDR5 RAMUFS 3.1 memories and also the proprietary vivo v1+ chip, which optimizes performance for gaming. But the real primacy of this device is the charging speed: thanks to 200W battery charger included in the package, iQOO 10 Pro recharges from 0 to 100 in just 10 minutes.
To avoid overheating, iQOO 10 Pro mounts 14 temperature sensors, which detect the increase in heat and optimize the management of the smartphone to prevent it from reaching too high temperatures. Also, the frame of the device is made from aircraft aluminuma metal alloy that tolerates temperature changes very well and prevents the smartphone from getting hot during gaming sessions.
