A recent leak has highlighted an alleged problem that Samsung is facing, in particular regarding the Galaxy A23 5G smartphone. At least for this year, in fact, it seems that the Korean company has reduced the production of this model by about 70%. In fact, at the beginning of 2022Samsung had planned to produce 12.6 million units of the Galaxy A23 5G and 17.1 million of the 4G variant. To date, however, the goal is less than 4 million units. According to “TheElec” the reason for this decision would lie in the “mysterious and unrevealed problem” regarding this model.

In detail, Samsung allegedly conducted a month-long investigation to resolve this issue which affected the overall functioning of the phone, starting from the poor photographic performance. And here, probably, the focal point of the matter would be touched. The main problem, in fact, would be represented by the main 50 MP sensor with optical stabilizer developed by Sunny Optical. Despite the investigation which, we recall, lasted a month, the company would not have overcome the criticality, thus deciding to cut production directly.

Finally, to date, it is not yet clear whether or not Samsung has solved the problem, however the decision taken to clearly cut the production of the Galaxy A23 5G expected in 2023 is certain. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, both the 4G and 5G models received the Android 13 update (build A235FXXU1BVK8 for LTE model and build A236BXXU2BVK7 for 5G model).
