The idea therefore is to attack the future in no small way with new smartphones capable of emulating what has been done today with current devices in terms of numbers and therefore sales, going to put ‘thought’ to Apple and other smartphone manufacturers.
Google: here are all the Pixels that will arrive by 2025
THE Google Pixel 6 brought a fresh impetus to critical and commercial success in the marketplace, something the company desperately needed after the relative commercial failures of Pixel 5 and Pixel 4. Then came the Pixel 7 series which saw even more critical acclaim and allowed the Pixel 6 line of success (even sales) to continue. The question now: what can we expect from Google in 2023 and beyond? Thanks to an anonymous but reliable source ,Android Authorityexclusively revealed the main changes that Google will undertake with the Pixel series in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Google Pixels – 2023
The road is already somehow marked and Google will just have to continue following what it has planned. In this case, the source reveals how 2023 will be the year of the new Pixel 7a that is, an aesthetically identical version to what was done with the Pixel 7 series but with medium-range specifications and above all an equally medium-range price. Much is expected from this smartphone because we know, from sources, that it will have better technical specifications than the Pixel 6a and will truly be able to compete on the market with other brands due to the presence of decidedly above-average materials and hardware.
However, 2023 will also be marked by the presentation to the world of the first true Google brochure. The Pixel Fold ready and Google can’t wait to unveil it. It will be a device clearly in line with the other folding devices but in fact it could count on a hypothetical more pocket-sized form factor and therefore less ”annoying” in use and portability compared to what has been seen with other devices of this type. There is not much information but in fact the certainty that the device can really arrive are very high.
Clearly at the end of the year there will be i new Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro which are currently known again with code names such as ”shiba” and ”husky” but which will be equipped with the new processor made in Google currently called ”zuma” and which will probably take the name of Tensor G3. There will certainly be some innovations in terms of design, in particular it seems that the smallest, i.e. the Pixel 8, will reduce the size compared to the current Pixel 7, while there shouldn’t be any substantial differences between the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro.
Google Pixels – 2024
The roadmap instead goes to what will happen in 2024. In this case there could be strong strategy changes by the Mountain View giant. Everything will depend on what the results of 2023 will be, but in fact Google is already talking about the possibility of a change in the release times of the Pixel A series. In this case indeedThe company may release the Pixel ”a” model every two years and therefore leave more space for other devices. A bit like what happens today with Apple with the iPhone SE. In fact, sales will be the determining factor because if Pixel 7a sells really much compared to forecasts, Google could still present a Pixel 8a.
The most important novelty for 2024 will concern the Pixel 9 series which will no longer consist of two versions of Pixel but of three versions. In this case i will still be present Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro where the first will still be a ”basic” model which will be joined by two new ones Pixel 9 Pro with different display sizes: one with 6.3 inches and the other with 6.7 inches. All three will be powered by the hypothetical Google Tensor G4 and the difference between them will be a bit like the one we have today with the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Google’s idea is to diversify the availability of its Pixels to users as much as possible.
2024 will also see the presentation of the new second generation Google Pixel Fold even if in this case it is clear that everything is a ”working progress” especially on the basis of what the public’s responses will be during the marketing of the first device.
Google Pixels – 2025
There is also information for 2025. In this case they are less secure but equally interesting information because in this case the company seems willing to evaluate the marketing of a foldable but Flip-style Pixel, therefore with a clamshell closure. At the moment, as mentioned, everything is very uncertain, but in fact a folding version of this type could actually arrive.
So there will be i Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro (in the two versions) and therefore the Pixel Flip. It is not clear at the moment whether the company will decide to offer a new classic folding or if it will still keep the second generation, if released.
What at the moment therefore one wonders if Google will be too late to the partyThe launch of a Pixel Fold in 2022 is a good move given the lack of international competition in the foldable segment, but a hypothetical Flip-style smartphone won’t arrive until at least 2024 and this could actually be a misstep because it is too late. And above all we think that at the moment Samsung sells more Galaxy Z Flip than Galaxy Z Fold with a ratio of 3:1 and this could therefore mean skimping on market shares for Google which could chase the Flip market really too late.
Google’s idea is clearly to follow in Apple’s footsteps proposing two Pixel Pro smartphones even if these could only arrive at the end of 2024. We have seen that the Cupertino company in the last three years has often changed the cards on the table, preferring to abandon the Mini version of its little-sold iPhone 13, sketching an iPhone 14 Plus next to a classic iPhone 14 which, however, have not really had a hold on the market. TOreal a hypothetical Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro ”max” could actually be a good move whether the selling price will be fair but it is clear that the arrival in two years could once again be a late step with respect to the possible evolution of the market. We will see clearly but in fact what we can underline from this important roadmap the serious and determined will of Google to enter the smartphone market just as he should have done a few years ago.
