Some people face it well in advance, others prefer to wait. But no one can escape one of the most difficult challenges of the human being: assemble an Ikea piece of furniture. We’ve all been there – it’s a modern day rite of passage from adolescence to adulthood.

It starts with the classic visit to one of the stores. “A little shopping never killed anyone“, is the thought that everyone thinks before crossing the threshold of that yellow and blue hell. Then, once you set foot inside you can’t get out anymore: turning your back you understand that you can only go forward, trying to overcome that labyrinth infinite that you could not imagine from the outside.You breathe a sigh of relief and face escalators, pools made of wooden micropencil, endless halls full of bedrooms that want to confuse you into believing you’re always in the same spot. You decide to take it anyway, given the effort, and put it in the car placing it diagonally between the front passenger window and the right rear passenger window. It’s two degrees outside and it’s pouring.
