Initially the brand had mentioned the name RAM Revolution, but it seems that it was only a preliminary name, as we discover from a recent registered trademark.
Last December 20, FCA US LLC (the former Chrysler Group) has filed the RAM 1500 REV trademarkunder the category Land vehicles, passenger trucks.
In addition to the question of the name, the hype about the product has reached very high levels, due to the statements by CEO Tavareswho praised him bluntly: “According to our internal performance index, our RAM 1500 will outperform all competitors in the attributes customers value most: range, towing, payload, recharge time. Really exciting! It’s built on top of our new STLA chassis architecture, designed specifically for full-size EVs. Don’t doubt, we will bring the best electric pickup in the full size segment“.
Heavy statements, considering that the segment already sees jewels like the Ford F-150 Lightning (here our proof), or the Rivian R1Tand that probably before RAM will also be added Tesla Cybertruck and Chevy Silverado. It will be a real battle for the type of vehicle most loved by the Americans.
