On Whatsapp (as in other apps), it may happen that we no longer want receive messages by a contact, but the procedure, at least in the app of A half, it’s not really immediate (here is our guide on it).
Why not add a button to do it quickly? The popular app from messaging must have read the thoughts of the users, because in thelatest beta for android this was just released possibility, and not through one, but well two buttons (here’s how to unblock a contact).

Warnings that the feature was in developing they had already noticed last week. In the beta for Android number 2.23.2.4in fact, it had managed to activate one new entry within the chat options that allowed you to quickly block a contact.
Not even twenty-four hours laterwith the beta 2.23.2.5another one has been introduced (but still not accessible to users). button to carry out the same operation, but this time atinternal notifications.
In this case, however, the block shortcut is only visible when you receive a message from unknown contacts And don’t trustso you don’t accidentally block someone.
Now with the new beta 2.23.10 downloadable from Google Play, both buttons are available, albeit in a limited number of testers.
On the left you can see the new entry “Block” in chat options accessible from the list (in some cases, it may also be available within the app header), which allows you to block a contact without opening the chat.
On the right, however, you can see the entry atinternal notificationsand as we said it appears when you receive a message from unknown contacts.
Now it’s finally easier block contactsespecially if you receive many messages from people you don’t know or don’t want to talk to, but unfortunately there is still no possibility to lock with one touch more contacts simultaneously (and it seems not to be expected).
The new feature is available in the latest beta of WhatsApp version 2.23.2.10 which you can download from Google Play, but at the moment it is only accessible to some testers. In case you don’t see it, don’t despair: Whatsapp will certainly expand its availability in the next days.
