Google has released a new update for the second QPR beta of Android 13. It’s about the beta 2.1, already available for download for all compatible Pixels. Before moving on to the novelties of the package, we remind you that QPR means a form of intermediate beta which includes the tests of the novelties which will then officially debut with the periodicals “Feature Drops” of android.
As for the latest package, it is the update T2B2.221216.008, which introduces bug fixes and performance improvements. Among the problems solved, there is the one that prevented smartphones from connecting to the 5G network even though it was available. Furthermore, the criticality that has also been overcome did not allow disabling the encrypted Bluetooth connection. The previous beta, however, focused particularly on the user interface which sometimes became unresponsive to user inputs and on some freezes that afflicted the camera app.
Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 is available for Pixel 4a Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6/6 Pro and Pixel 7/7 Pro (For those who have joined the program, and therefore have the device upgraded to QPR2the new package is coming via an update via OTA).
Obviously, since these are beta versions, before proceeding with the installation it is always advisable to back up the phone so as not to lose any data in the event that the operation does not return a positive outcome.
