BMW, some updates for its models arrive in the spring

BMW continues to work to constantly improve its products. The German automaker has announced a series of updates for the X7, 7 Series, 4 Series, M4, i7 and iX models, which will be introduced starting next spring. Furthermore, the manufacturer has anticipated that from the second quarter of 2023, selected BMW X1 models will be offered in the UK with an infotainment system featuring the new iDrive 9 platform.

Starting in March, new customization options for the exterior and interior are on the way for the new BMW 7 Series. For example, the German flagship will be available with the new BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic exterior colour. In addition, the M Merino upholstery Taupe Grey/Night Blue or Caramel/Atlas Gray and BMW Individual Merino leather will be available for the interior.

From April, the optional crystal headlights will be available for the BMW X7 BMW Iconic Glowintroduced for the first time in the new BMW 7 Series. In addition, the optional M high-gloss Shadowline exterior equipment will be on the list, which will now also include a rear trim strip in Black high-gloss.

Also from next spring, it will be possible to order the BMW 7 Series, BMW X7 and BMW iX models Parking Assistant Professional package with the possibility of being able to manage the automated parking maneuvers from outside the vehicle using the My BMW app.

As far as the BMW iX electric SUV alone is concerned, a new management of the traction battery climate control will arrive from March 2023. As in the BMW i7, it will be possible start battery preheating manually, when the navigation system guidance is not active. The Driving Assistant fitted as standard in the BMW iX will also include the Trailer Assistant from March. This function performs the necessary steering movements when reversing when a trailer is coupled to the vehicle.

The. will be available as standard for the BMW 4 Series and BMW M4 models BMW Curved Display with 12.3-inch instrument cluster screen and 14.9-inch screen for the infotainment system to be equipped with the iDrive 8 platform. All engines available for the BMW 4 Series Coupé, BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé and BMW 4 Series Convertible will be mated as standard to a eight-speed Steptronic gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel. The high-gloss M Shadowline for the side window surrounds will also be included as standard for all model variants. Among the options will be available the interior lining M in Aluminum Rhombicle anthracite.

Finally, selected all-electric BMW models that support 22 kW AC charging will receive new equipment. All variants of the BMW iX, the BMW i7 xDrive60 and the BMW iX1 xDrive30, will come standard with a Mode 3 Professional charging cable designed to operate at charging capacities up to 22 kW.
