Yesterday, during the usual event Galaxy Unpacked in San Francisco, Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy S23 series. In this regard, according to the official numbers, the Prime CPU core inside the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Samsung Galaxy is clocked at 3.36 GHz (0.16 GHz faster than the vanilla chip) and the Adreno 740 GPU has clocked at 719 MHz (39 MHz higher).

These numbers, in practice, translate into faster performance while opening apps and games, multitasking, playing games, and even booting up the device. By the way, in combination with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, the Galaxy S23 is the 34% faster in CPU workloads, 41% faster in games and 49% faster in machine learning tasks – in fact, Samsung claimed it to be the fastest processor in the world.

Also, there is a ISP which would allow you to obtain top-level photographic shots. Specifically, this small part of the chipset performs real-time semantic segmentation (which Samsung calls the AI ​​Object-Aware Engine) to improve shots. The new ISP, then, also uses AI and ML to better understand what is happening in the scene and therefore process objects, subjects and backgrounds in a more natural way. Incidentally, the new S23s are capable of capturing 4K Super HDR video at 60fps using both the front and rear cameras.

Therefore, as confirmed by the Korean company itself, there was a close collaboration with Qualcomm so that the new Galaxy S23 obtained exclusive features and optimizations. In short, all that remains is to test the new devices in the field and verify whether the collaboration between the two giants has actually favored the development of smartphones that are unique in the world.
